76 lakes in the Salzkammergut
The Attersee (also called Kammersee) is a popular sailing and water sports paradise (diving, surfing, sailing) and has been a popular recreation area not just since Gustav Klimt.
The lovely Mondsee impresses with a breathtaking view and water at bathing temperature, the refreshing Hallstättersee with spectacular steep slopes, and the Traunsee (at 190 m the deepest body of water in Austria) is only 25 minutes away by car.

Thermal paradise
In winter, the thermal baths in the Salzkammergut offer pure relaxation. The renowned Kaisertherme in Bad Ischl, which can be reached on foot, is also known for its brine pools and spa treatments, a wonderful way to spend a cold autumn or winter day.
