Today we have a day trip ready that combines culture and hiking - and with a fantastic view! It is suitable for the whole family because of the different stages, you can walk more or less depending on your mood and do the rest by boat. In summer we recommend a wonderful bathing break.
Details on the St. Wolfgang & Falkenstein day trip

· Take the bus (stop in front of the house) to St Wolfgang
· Walk through town
· Walk along the lakeside or take the “Höhenweg” to Ried
o Via the old pilgrim route to Falkenstein
o Scheffelblick , pilgrimage church
· Back down to Fürberg: beautiful beach, good inn/restaurant (Hotel Fürberg)
· Take the boat to St. Gilgen (alternative: walk), enjoy the town
· Take the bus back home
The historic pilgrimage route from St. Wolfgang via Falkenstein and Ried to St. Gilgen is a unique experience. With 24 stops along the route, you can experience prehistoric places of worship, the role of the Christian missionary St. Wolfgang and the beginnings of modern tourism.
The route is, apart from a relatively steep hike to Falkenstein (about 200m difference in altitude), very comfortable for families, with picturesque and ever-changing sceneries.
